Climbing for me is so much more than just a sport and a pastime, it’s what sets my soul on fire. It has allowed me to grow as an athlete, travel the world, and tap into deep mental spaces that I never thought was possible. I have been fortunate enough to have climbed in so many different places and ways around the world like sport climbing in Thailand, Laos, Malaysia, and Spain or crack climbing in Indian creek, Squamish or my favorite the Bugaboos.
I started climbing at a young age when I lived in Prince George, BC. Prince George unfortunately didn’t have a climbing gym, however my next door neighbor had a small bouldering wall in his basement where he first taught me my passion for climbing. Once I moved to Calgary in 2008 I starting climbing at Calgary Climbing Centre and I was hooked. Last year I stepped into the indoor climbing competition scene and fell in love with the people and the community around it.
