Our Learn to Lead Lessons are geared towards people who are just getting started into lead climbing in Calgary and are looking to progress their skills. We will teach you the basic skills to lead climb indoors, including tie-in knots, clipping, slack management, falling techniques, belay technique, and communication. Once you have mastered the basics, our instructors will stay with you to help monitor your practice and answer any additional questions you may have, and offer feedback for finessing your lead techniques.
This course is designed for intermediate to advanced climbers. Top rope belay certification is a requirement to take this course. You should be comfortable climbing a minimum of 5.9.
$110 for non members, includes 3 hours of instruction, day pass, and rental gear.
