Ready to take your climbing skills from plastic to real rock? This clinic taught by Alpine Guide Sarah Hueniken is a great introduction to the world of outdoor rock climbing where you’ll learn all the basics of how to top rope climb, belay, and rappel. If you’re already comfortable top rope climbing outside or lead climbing indoors, come and join us next week for our Learn to Lead Clinic to get you ready for a season full of sport climbing!
This course is designed for those who have some experience climbing indoors and are looking to try their hand on some real rock! No previous rope climbing experience is necessary, although we do recommend you’re comfortable climbing in the V2+ / 5.9+ range indoors.
The cost of this clinic is $185 per person for a full day of instruction in the mountains. All gear, except for rock shoes and chalk, will be provided and are included in this cost. Participants will be responsible for their own transportation to and from the clinic location. This clinic will take place at a local crag in the Bow Valley; the exact location will be determined based on the group’s experience level and will be communicated to registrants in advance.
